JUST halfway through the attachment games in Core Attachment Therapy© with a soon to be adopted 4 year old from the foster care system with her new mother. This typically seems to be the beginning of the turn around point for most children engaged in this process when the impact of secure attachment starts becoming apparent.
In this case, this little girl had a week of calm behavior. At her preschool, she had no episodes of hitting another child, chasing another child or biting another child. In addition to this, she spent the night at her grandmother’s house without fussy about leaving her mother. And the most beneficial to all, she is sleeping through the night. The mother attributes this to Core Attachment Therapy© since this is the only thing that is different in their lives.
